Palestine community music
Palestine Community Music was a multifaceted program empowering youth to express themselves and serve their communities. The project offered uplifting, music-based activities to young people who lacked social or cultural opportunities, and reached thousands of children living on the fringes of society in the West Bank.

Thousands of children were part of the program.
Through the Palestine Youth Music program we trained musicians and educators in Music and Nonviolence Leadership. We worked with children living with hearing difficulties through our “Deaf, Proud and Musical” project, and we reached thousands of children across remote villages with our “Musical Playground’ events. Thousands of school children each year benefited from regular music workshops including dancing, singing, rapping and body percussion. The activities empowered and engaged children, school staff, and families in community music-making.
Incredible musicians came together to produce international projects with sustained impact. Dutch hip-hop artists worked with Palestinian rappers, highlighting rap as a tool for social change. We partnered with the UK expert organisation Music as Therapy International to develop capacity in the therapeutic use of music with children living with disabilities.
